Software Engineer

I worked part-time as a software engineer at a private company, building real-time systems in C++ and Qt6 that bring live data from a range of hardware sensors into a single dashboard. I keep the company and project names private; everything here is the engineering and what I worked on.

I integrated most of the hardware sensors myself and built them as configurable, port-adjustable modules, so the same software could talk to different sensors and feeds over different ports and protocols without code changes. We integrated and refactored the open-source OpenCPN application to fit the system, and I worked with the team on the rest of it. As one of the senior engineers, I also guided two to three junior developers and helped the interns along the way.
